So What Are We Supposed to Wear to This Soiree?

“Dressy Casual” is appropriate.
I’ve never heard of such a thing; I think Barb made it up. What it means is “Don’t come to Broadmoor dressed like you’re fresh off the Appalachian Trail or at a Jay-Z concert.”

shirt  + pants + loafers   = otay “O-tay!”

This would be considered inappropriate attire…

…but don’t let the dress code keep you away!

Guided Tour of NCHS

Thanks to the efforts of Susie Townes you will be able to once again walk the hallowed halls of North Central High School. A lot has been added over the years, including a new, open, multi-level entrance, a swimming pool and flush toilets. The tour will commence on Saturday morning, September 14, at 11:00 am. Meet in the lobby through door #1 which faces 86th St. Normally, depending on how many people and how many questions, the tour takes about an hour to an hour and a half.

Big Savings on Hotels For Out-Of-Towners

If you're planning on spending the night(s) in Indianapolis, here are some great places to stay with some big savings. Thanks to Darrell Pike for using his considerable muscle to arrange these accommodations. Here is Darrell's report to the committee.

"Based on a recommendation from Linda (Mordoh) that perhaps two choices for hotels might be worthwhile for those who would like to stay downtown, and those desiring to be closer to NC. I received word from the General Manager that The Staybridge Hotel (directly across from Lucas Oil Stadium) would be available for the 13th and 14th of September for a discounted rate of $129.00 (Studio) or $139.00 for a one-bedroom suite per night. He will hold 15 rooms for now. Staybridge Suites is located at 535 S West St, Indianapolis, IN 46225.

"The other hotel I selected was the Hampton Inn and Suites at Keystone at the Crossing (8980 River Crossing Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46240.) They have agreed to hold around 10 rooms to start at a discounted rate of $119.00 per night. Both hotels include free breakfast."
